Officials have been raising money through a share scheme, and saw off stiff competition from rival bidders when the grounds went under the hammer at Old Trafford cricket ground in February 2008.
As a result of the purchase the club will now be looking to develop the ground providing facilities for several local sporting clubs and other organisations.

Ground Purchase 2008
The future of Littleborough Rugby Club is secure after a bid to buy its Rakewood home was successful.Officials have been raising money through a share scheme, and saw off stiff competition from rival bidders when the grounds went under the hammer at Old Trafford cricket ground in February 2008.
As a result of the purchase the club will now be looking to develop the ground providing facilities for several local sporting clubs and other organisations.
