Masjid-e-Sajedeen formerly Unit 4 Cinema's is the hub of the local muslim community whose numbers have increased manifold since the arrival of the original Sidat and Musa families arrived in the area in the early 1960's.The area now boasts one of the most cosmopolitan communites in the borough of Blackburn.Of late Little Harwood has sufferred from lack of investment and is slowly degenerating into one of Blackburn's Ghettos.It's community spirit nonetheless keeps a cohesion rarely seen in the town elsewhere.
