Channels available on cable, satellite and digital terrestrial services in the rest of the UK are available in Northern Ireland are available, with the exception of digital terrestrial High Definition services which are available in areas where analogue tv has been switched off.

Republic of Ireland services

The four analogue terrestrial services have been available in many parts of Northern Ireland since their launch due to analogue overspill. In some cases, transmitters have been placed near the border in order to cover as much of Northern Ireland as possible. The channels (with the exception of TV3) are also available on cable and satellite services throughout Northern Ireland, although some programmes are "blacked out" due to rights issues.
