Now That's What I Call Music!

Now That's What I Call Music! is a series of various artists compilation albums released in the United Kingdom and Ireland by Polygram /EMI/Sony Music/Virgin Records ; spinoff series were later introduced in South Africa and many other countries worldwide, including the United States...

series. They are categorised by series (country), then ordered by date.

Identically-named "Now!" albums in different series may have little in common. For example, the UK Now! 4 was released in 1984 and reflected the UK charts of the time. Volume 4 in the US series came out in 2000 and focused on U.S. hits from that year. Thus, they are totally different.

Although there is inevitably some overlap in content between albums in different series released around the same date, there are still often differences in format (e.g. the U.S. one-disc format versus the UK two-disc) as well as hits specific to a particular market.

Original series

The titles given here are the literal names as printed on the front cover. Thus, volumes 2 and 13 use Roman numerals

Roman numerals

 and the exclamation mark first appears with volume 18 (changing to its present position from volume 20 onwards).

The first full track version "Now!" album to be released on CD was Volume 10. Vinyls ended with Now 35 and audio cassettes ended with Now 63. Now 62 allowed access to secret areas on the Now! website, like music videos and interviews. Related ring tones from the Now series started with Now 54 in 2003 and ended with Now 73
