Despite the series title change in 2011, all existing episodes made before 2011 are still considered Aqua Teen Hunger Force episodes; whereas all episodes as of "Allen Part 1" are considered Aqua Unit Patrol Squad 1 episodes. The series has been renewed for a ninth season, which will premiere on May 20, 2012, and will contain ten episodes.

On April 13, 2007, a feature film based on the series, Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters, premiered in theaters, and a second film titled Death Fighter has begun production.
