Her one eponymous album, released in 1997 four years after So Natural

The album peaked at the number two position on the UK Albums Chart
, where only her debut album had peaked. Seven singles are taken from this record (one more than Affection
), including the two mentioned UK Top 10 hits; "The Real Thing" peaked at number seven, while "People Hold On" bootleg remix, originally an unauthorized bootleg which ended up becoming acknowledged by Lisa, had its peak position on the UK chart at number four, seven positions higher than 1989 original version on her debut album with Coldcut). chart. "People Hold On" was the first to reach #1, followed later by "Never, Never Gonna Give You Up". "Never Gonna Fall" was the third #1 from the album, and "I'm Leavin'" became the last single from the album to reach the top of this chart. The seventh and last single, "Don't Cry for Me", didn't enter the charts.
The 1997 original CD version contained bonus tracks "People Hold On" bootleg remix and an alternative remix of the second single, "The Real Thing". The 2003 remastered CD edition features, besides the "People Hold On" bootleg remix, two more tracks, originally not included on the album. These are "Breathtaking", B-side of the withdrawn last single "Don't Cry for Me", and "Baby Come Back", which was already included on the Japan
ese edition of the work. The remix of "The Real Thing" is omitted from the 2003 edition.
Though the album sales in the states were not as strong as "Affection" or "Real Love", it sold well enough to give Lisa her third Gold album in the states. "Affection" and "Real Love" were certified double platinum and platinum in the U.S. respectively.
