 was created as a result, in their African colony the Belgians created CENAC, which would evolve into the Ligne Aerienne du Roi Albert. The airline had only a short life, discontinuing operations on June 7, 1922. It operated a Levy Lepen hydroplane along the river Congo. Starting from the capital Leopoldville

, the route gradually extended upstream, first to Ngombe, later to Lisala
