, United States, since 2009. American Varvara Lepchenko beat Sorona Cirstea 6-2, 6-2 to win the $7,315 first-place price money in the 2010 singles final. A native of Uzbekistan, Lepchenko has lived in the United States since 2001 after receiving political asylum and became a U.S. citizen in 2007. In the doubles final, Lindsay Lee-Waters and Megan Moulton-Levy rallied to beat the wild-card team of Irina Falconi and current former USC All-American Maria Sanchez, 1-6, 7-5, 10-4. Lee-Waters and Moulton-Levy split the $2,660 first-place prize money.
The tournament is run by co-directors Jordan Butler and Tyler Weekes.
The 2011 tournament will take place Sept. 27-Oct. 2.
