's restaurant, where she was promoted to senior chef. She then worked as a freelance corporate chef and caterer for government officials before joining Leith’s School of Food and Wine as an instructor, rising to head teacher.
Waters started in television in 1989 on various cable TV shows, before Ready Steady Cook

After marriage to photographer Tim, and the birth of her first child son Isaac, the pair decided to raise their family and second child (Scout after a character in To Kill a Mockingbird
), away from London. With Tim coming from Devon and Waters' love of Thomas Hardy
’s novels, they bought a 16th century manor house in Evershot

from punk singer and actress Toyah Willcox
and her husband Robert Fripp
