History

For many years, Leawood upheld a ban on fast food establishments within the city limits. Since the late 1990s the ordinances prohibiting gas stations and fast food restaurants have been revoked. Now Leawood is home to many fast food restaurants. Leawood also has a wide variety of Mexican restaurants.
