Unwound was a United States post-hardcore band based in Tumwater/Olympia, Washington. Formed in 1991, the band consisted of Justin Trosper , Vern Rumsey , and Brandt Sandeno , all of whom had previously been in a band called Giant Henry. Brandt Sandeno quit Unwound in 1992 and was replaced by...

. It was recorded by the band at their own studio, MagRecOne ("Magnetic Recording One"), between 1999 and 2000, seeing release as a double LP/ double CD in 2001. All songs were written, recorded, and produced by Unwound. The CD version is enhanced with two music videos: "Radio Gra" (by Slater Bradley) and "Scarlette" (by animator Zack Margolis). (The latter video may be viewed in its entirety here) A promotional CD version (on Matador Europe) exists, which features the whole album on one CD, omitting the videos; it comes in a slimline jewelcase with different "cover art" and a quote citing Unwound as the best live band of their era.
