. Its leader has traditionally been appointed by the British Crown and has been known by various titles including Lord of Alderney, Governor of Alderney, and the current President of Alderney. The President of Alderney is directly elected every four years and there is no constitutional limit to the number of terms they may serve. The current president, Sir Norman Browse
