Laurent Vidal

Laurent Vidal is a professional French triathlete, French Champion (Olympic Distance) of the years 2009 and 2011, French 2006 U23 Champion, 2008 Olympian, and, thanks to his 6th position at the World Championship Series triathlon in London (7 August 2011), he is definitely qualified for the Olympic Games 2012 in London.

In 2010, Vidal was number 6 in the World Championship Series ranking, in 2011 he is number 7.
In France, Vidal takes part in the prestigious French Club Championship Series Lyonnaise des Eaux

, represents Lagardère Paris Racing. At Dunkirk (22 May 2011), for instance, he placed 10th.
In Germany, Vidal is among the international guest stars of EJOT Team Buschhütten, which he represented in the Bundesliga e.g. at the GARMIN Alpen-Triathlon at Schliersee (3 July 2011), where he placed second.
Vidal is a member (caporal) of the French Military Triathlon Team (Equipe de France), whose basis is the Ecoles militaires de Draguignan (EMD). At the Military World Games in Rio de Janeiro (24 July 2011), however, Vidal was not present.
Vidal holds a Bachelor in Sports Management. He lives in Sète

Sports Career
At his ITU debut in Hungary, Vidal became European Vice Champion (Junior), and one year later in 2003 he placed fourth at the World Championships (Junior) in Australia. In 2008, he represented France at the Olympic Games, in 2010 he won the Oceania Championships, and in 2011 he placed 7th at the European Championships, and 6th at both the London World Championship Series triathlon, and the Sprint World Championship, thus proving to be the best French male athlete of the year 2011, as David HaussDavid Hauss
