Latvian Mobile Telephone ( or LMT) is a mobile GSM/UMTS operator in Latvia.

History

LMT has operated on the mobile market since 1992 and is the first mobile network operator in the country. The service was established as an operator of the NMT

LMT's main service is voice transmission and the company has been expanding service offerings related to data transmission and wireless Internet access. LMT was the first company in Latvia to provide its customers with WAP

Latvian Mobile Service has entered into roaming agreements with 385 mobile communication networks in 136 countries. From 2005, LMT's permanent subscribers, as well as OKarte users, can use their handsets not only in European countries, but also in other continents.
