Latet is an Israel
i humanitarian aid organization founded in 1996 with the goal of providing assistance to needy populations in Israel and worldwide, on a universal and equal basis. Latet aims to mobilize Israeli civil society to greater involvement in the humanitarian field, through heightened social awareness and fostering values such as mutual responsibility and acts of loving kindness. Latet is a non-governmental, apolitical, non-profit organization, with over of 5,000 Israeli volunteers involved in its activities.
Latet serves as an umbrella organization to 120 nonprofit organizations (associations, soup kitchens and municipal social services departments) in 80 communities, representing all sectors of Israeli society, including: senior citizens, large families, single parent families, new immigrants, etc. This collaboration produces efficient, continuous aid to over 50,000 families and 200,000 needy individuals.
