Professional career

Givens had a long career, which spanned 18 years and 50 fights, ending with a record of 3-46 with 3 knockouts and one No Decision. Givens' career in professional boxing began in April 1981 with a loss to Arthur Artwell. Givens lost his first seven bouts, finally breaking through with a win against James C. Neuman in May 1982. He collected two more wins in his next five fights, then failed to win again for the rest of his career. Givens' last fight was a first round knockout
