The City of Lake Park is governed by a city council headed by an elected Mayor, a non-elected and non-voting Clerk, and four council members elected at-large. One council member is appointed yearly by the Mayor to serve as the Vice-Mayor. Current Mayor Keith Zachariason, Vice-Mayor Jason Crabtree and Councilman Jason Abbott were elected to serve until December 2012.
