Community Government

Lake Kiowa is governed by an elected board, with a Community Manager system. Since there is no longer a developer, the property owners run the community http://www.lakekiowatx.com. Security can issue tickets and enforce community rules. Roads, bridges and infrastructure are maintained by the community. This has been effective for many years and is financially stable. A current project is to redo the golf course greens, fairways, and tee boxes. This project will cost about $500,000 and will be entirely paid for from internal funds. Lake Kiowa is run for, and by, the residents. Kiowa Homeowners Water Supply maintains the water supply.
