L'Alfàs del Pi has an area of 19.3 km² and, according to the 2006 census, a total population of 18,469 inhabitants. The town has the second largest concentration of Norwegian residents abroad, along with sizable Dutch and English communities. The economy of L'Alfàs del Pi is mainly based on tourism
