The Köln International School of Design (in short: KISD) is an institution of the Cologne University of Applied Sciences
(Fachhochschule Köln) and offers an interdisciplinary study program in the field of design
. In 2002 – eleven years after the Cologne Model of design education was initiated in 1991 – the school was renamed to Köln International School of Design.
. In the 2009 term, circa 25 % of the student body came from abroad.
