Operational usage

Köln-Messe/Deutz has several tracks, ten from east to west, and two from north to south. The north-south tracks, also referred to as Köln Messe/Deutz (tief), are situated under the east-west tracks, which connect the station to the main station via the Hohenzollern Bridge. Usually services of all kind call at the station, but the situation was different in 2007, because Deutz(tief) was closed due to construction work on the tracks to Köln-Mülheim.
