Kuwait Petroleum Corporation is Kuwait's national oil company, headquartered in Kuwait City. It was founded on January 27, 1980 as an umbrella company, integrating KOC, KNPC, KOTC and PIC and effectively placing them under government control....

as a subsidiary company. It is empowered to undertake crude oil and natural gas exploration, development, and production operations outside Kuwait.

Since 1984, KUFPEC acquired petroleum concessions for discovery and development in Bahrain, Tunisia, Egypt, China and Indonesia. Today KUFPEC operates in several locations of Australia, Africa, Asia, and Middle East.

KUFPEC head office building is located in Administrative Shuwaikh Area in Kuwait, and has four international area offices in Australia, Tunisia, Pakistan, and Indonesia.
