Kurt Trampedach

Kurt Trampedach is a Danish painter and sculptor.
By the end of the 1960s Trampedach had his artistic breakthrough after he started studying at the Arts Academy in 1963. Trampedach has often made distorted self-portraits and portraits of his own wife. Painting is a way of dealing with his own psyche.
At least two times Trampedach’s studio was set on fire by unknown perpetrators. Some people claimed that he had started the fire himself, but in 2005 a French-Moroccan was sentenced for the crime.
