Pantry Car
Despite of the hectic and unofficial halts of the train, it do not have a Pantry Car for serving the passengers with good food. There is a popular saying on the train "Lut gai up, bengal mein rail mantri, Shipra di gali vich no Pantry" meaning The railway minister is too busy for her political region trains to provide pantry car, but missed the Shipra express to get it in Pantry Car.
Average speed and frequency


The train runs with an average speed of 43 km/h. The train runs on a daily basis.

Rake maintenance & sharing


The train is maintained by the Indore Coaching Depot. The same rake is used for Indore - Nagpur Express and Indore - Pune Express for one way which is altered by the second rake on the other way.
