Korydallos is a municipality in the Piraeus regional unit, Greece
. It is a western suburb of Piraeus
. It is the home of the Korydallos prisons. It sits on a mountain in the west named Aegaleo. It is located W of Athens, N of Piraeus and S of GR-8

and Athinon Avenue.
Farming used to dominate the community and much of the area was and remains deforested. The western half is rocky. Today, urbanization covers the south, central, west-central and east.
It was founded in ancient times, and was one of the 100 municipalities in ancient Attica
at the end of the 6th century BC. Theophilos Corydalleus (1563–1646) was a philosopher who lived in Corydallos. 200 years later, Korydallos was known as Koutsoukari from the property owner (Emmanouil Koutsikaris) of the greater area. After that it was renamed into Pachy or Pachi or Pahi from the next owner (Pachinas). In 1923, the region was renamed back into its ancient name, Korydallos. The population in 1928 was 2,500. In 1934, Korydallos became an autonomous commune until 1946 when it became a municipality and a city. The city now boasts a population of 60,000.
Korydallos has schools, lyceums, High schools, banks, a post office, and many squares (plateies
). The main street Taxiarhon has become a well known shopping center with many fashion shops and boutiques. Korydallos also has some soccer teams,with Proodeftiki FC
which has its own stadium at Grigoriou Lambraki street, and Aetos Korydallou being the most famous among them.
