Kommando Trash
Encyclopedia
Kommando Trash is a band project initiated in late 2007 by Pavid Didler and Flat Frederique through recording the track "Kommando Bimmele", a hyperminimalist electropop track with a pumping livebass and a simple, but nonetheless haunting synthline. Fellow Musicians Disco Pee and Moody Mascott joined soon after on the follow-up smasher "Zottelbaer".

The young group, which is said to have started the movement called Bimmele or Bimmelais, has completed almost fifty tracks following a similar, though richly varied, pattern. Kommando Trash’s minimalism is overwhelming, their pop is punk, their 80's-drenched Wave is just half a step away from today's club bangers.

The sparse lyrics have an undeniable touch of dadaism and the natural and clear songstructures breathe and move, transcending their own boundaries by sticking to just those boundaries relentlessly. The Trash Experience is even enhanced though by the group's much celebrated live performances.

Kraftwerk and Trio are definitely references to be heard, but while their music has a retro touch, it is very alive and headed for the future. More recent Artists with a similar, though less consequently executed, approach are e.g. Stereo Total or Justice.

Kommando Trash is already hugely popular on a local level and its gigs attract large crowds of groupies. However, the band’s real potential is said to lie in Japan
