Kolvereid is a town and former municipality in Nord-Trøndelag
county, Norway
. It is located within the present-day municipality of Nærøy
. The small town of Kolvereid is also the administrative centre
of the municipality.
The municipality of Nærøy declared city status for Kolvereid village in 2002, making it the smallest town in Norway. The 1.37 square kilometres (338.5 acre) town has a population (2011) of 1,552. The population density
of Kolvereid is 1133 PD/km2.
