Kolağası was a military rank of the Ottoman Army. It corresponds to a Senior Captain

: Kıdemli Yüzbaşı) or an Adjutant Major. Kol Ağası is a compound
word composed of Kol (column

). The rank was junior to the Binbaşı (Major) and superior to the Yüzbaşı (Captain).
The rank of Kol Ağası was changed to Önyüzbaşı in Republican period.
