History

Kō Station was opened on April 1, 1926 as a station on the Aichi Electric Railway's Toyohashi Line connecting Toyohashi with . On April 1, 1935, the Aichi Electric Railway merged with the Nagoya Railway (the forerunner of present-day Meitetsu). A spur line to Toyokawa
