arrives and decides to use Klovia as its base of operations in the Second Galaxy
. A new base called Ultra Prime is established and colonists begin arriving to supplement the native population
.
Klovia is the site of only one recorded battle between Civilisation and Boskone
, its ancient rival, when the Boskonian Grand Fleet attacks. However, the use of the Sunbeam destroys most of the Boskonian fleet - but leads to a dogfight taking up a full sixth of the Klovian solar system
as Boskonian command and control breaks down. The Galactic Patrol
wins, however, and the threat of the Boskonian Grand Fleet to both Klovia and Civilisation is ended.
With Klovia safe, it later witnesses the marriage of Kimball Kinnison and Clarrissa MacDougal and their future children (Christopher, Karen, Kathryn, Constance, and Camilla Kinnison), and is also the headquarters for the Galactic Coordinator of the Second Galaxy (Kimball Kinnison until "Children of the Lens
").
