, He was working as a lecture at a women's college in Bangalore and as a part-time fashion designer, when has offered an acting role in the film Kanti, for which he was supposed to design the costumes. After making his acting debut in that film, he went on to appear in a number of Kannada-language films, before debuting and establishing himself in the Tamil film industry.
