Kingsley's Adventure is a third-person platformer–adventure game
released for PlayStation in late 1999 by Psygnosis.
The game is similar to The Legend of Zelda
series, in the sense that players are given a quest and have to explore certain areas of the game's overworld
using a sword
and a crossbow
(both being upgradeable during the adventure). Young knight Kingsley, a fox
swordsman, is sent to protect the Fruit Kingdom from warlock Bad Custard. The game starts with a cutscene of a puppet show where dark fruit is shown attacking the Fruit Kingdom, then it shows Kingsley; the main character the player controls. This, along with the ending scene, are the only cutscenes in the game.
