Bond project

In 2003, Kings Park Central School District administration proposed a $1,000 bond project for renovating the high school. Proposed areas for renovation included the junior cafeteria, the roof, the lobby, office areas, and a new hallway and additional classrooms on the west side of the school. Approved by a referendum on February 3, 2004, the renovation was scheduled to occur during the 2005-06 school year and the following summer, and is currently finished. Completion of the bond project allowed the high school to accommodate its increasing student population and represented a significant upgrade for the school's physical plant.
