The park also surrounds 65 acres (26.3 ha) Lake York as well as the smaller Lake Crawford.

History

6141 acres (2,485.2 ha) of this park were donated in 1934 by the U.S. Government. An additional 744 acres (301.1 ha) were donated and purchased in 1995. The park was largely developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps

  • Admission, $2.00 adult, $1.25 SC senior citizens, children under 15 are free
  • Camping, $17 – $22 per day
  • Fishing boat rentals, $10.00 per half day & $20.00 per full day
