 in Central London, close to city firms and the four Inns of Court. It is recognized as one of the top 5 UK law schools.

The School offers a three-year LL.B (Legum Baccalaureus) undergraduate degree, a one-year (full-time) LL.M (Legum Magister), as well as distance learning courses for legal practitioners leading to the M.A degree. In addition to degrees by coursework, postgraduate research degrees (M.Phil and Ph.D) are available at King's Law School and its Research Units. In addition, the School has been operating a joint LL.B/Master 1 programme with the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne since 1977. The School also offers the chance to read Law LLB as well as a German Law Degree in 4 years. Students spend two years in the UK and two further years in Berlin.

As a member of the Russell Group, the Faculty receives a high number of applications from students at both undergraduate and graduate level. Due to the large number undergraduate applications, candidates are required to undertake the National Admissions Test for Law (LNAT)[3] as part of the admissions procedure.

It was announced on 7 December 2009 that the School will soon relocate to the East Wing of the landmark Somerset House

 building, adjacent to its current premises between the Strand and Temple Embankment. Negotiations for the new lease are said to have taken some 180 years.

The current Head of School is Professor Timothy Macklem, who took over from Professor Lord Plant of Highfield in 2008.
