Kim Adler

Kim Adler is an American Ten-pin bowling
professional who was a member of the now-defunct Professional Women's Bowling Association
. She is considered one of the top women bowling players of all time, competing professionally from 1991-2003.
Kim was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, and grew up in neighboring town, East Longmeadow. She moved to Florida in 1992. Kim was married in 1994 to Tommy Adler, a paramedic, after meeting him through the Florida Today personal ads. She also owns 4 Elements Designs, which markets her one-of-a-kind handmade jewelry
, glass beads and glass art. She returned to school in 2004, becoming an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic, working in the emergency department of a local hospital. Graduating nursing school, she continues her work as an Intensive Care Unit RN. She is now working toward her Master's degree in nursing at the University of South Florida to become a Nurse Practitioner. She lives in Cocoa, Florida
with her family.

She was the first professional bowler to command outside-the-bowling-industry sponsorships by signing deals with Kiwi Computers, Pacific Pools, and Clabber Girl Women's Sports Team. She is the first professional athlete to use Ebay to successfully auction advertising space on herself. In her career, she was also sponsored by Brunswick Bowling, Splitsville Lanes, AMF Bowling, Pro Sports Systems, Kegel Training Center, and Moro Designs/Pro Release.
She worked as a color commentator for bowling with ESPN/ESPN2 for a number of women's professional bowling telecasts.
She was a staff writer for Bowling Digest magazine. She was awarded the 2003 Herta Kissel Bowling Writer of the Year.
She was featured in various articles and interviews over the years in places such as USA Today, NY Times Magazine, SPORT magazine
