Killinchy is a small village
in County Down

. It is two miles inland from the western shores of Strangford Lough

the population was 492.
The village sits on a hill overlooking Strangford Lough. The nearby settlement of Balloo is treated as part of Killinchy. In Balloo, the main shop is McCanns (formerly called Killinchy General Stores). It includes a coffee shop, 'Muffler's', a hardware store and a post office. Opposite McCanns is a petrol station including a Mace convenience store. In Balloo there is also a Masonic Hall, a butcher's shop and The Crafty Fox, a giftware boutique.
Killinchy has a community hall and a new children's playground. The main pub in the district is Balloo House which has won awards for its food. Killinchy has three Churches, Killinchy Presbyterian Church, Killinchy Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Church and Killinchy Church of Ireland
The annual Pigstock festival is held in Killinchy.
