. It serves grades 6-12 and is part of the Kickapoo Area School District. The high school has 242 students; its student to teacher ratio is 12:1. In 2007, Kickapoo High School was awarded the U.S. News Silver Star Award; it was one of three Wisconsin high schools to receive this honor.

Sexual assault incident

 with a female student. The student claimed that she had sexual intercourse with Schroeder several times between March and May 1992. Schroeder pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault and was sentenced to nine months in prison as well as a five-year parole
