When the college soccer season was over he signed for the Ottawa Fury
of the Premier Development League in 2005. In his first season with the Fury he led the team in scoring with 11 goals, and the following season in 2006 he led in scoring again with 11 goals. In the end of the season he was named into the PDL All-Eastern Conference Team. At the 2006 Ottawa Fury awards banquet, Omokhua was awarded the Ottawa Fury MVP award.
The following season Omokhua left Ottawa to sign with the Toronto Lynx
, thereby leaving as the Fury's All-time leading scorer in franchise history. His signing with the Lynx was announced on March 15, 2007. Making his debut on May 25, 2007 against the Chicago Fire Premier
. In total he appeared in 13 games, but would fail to score a single goal. He helped the Lynx to finish the season with a 6-6-4 record, good for fourth place in the division and only 6 points short of a playoff berth. He managed to record his first goal for Lynx on July 12, 2008 in a 4-1 victory over the Indiana Invaders
. He also managed to lead the Lynx to the playoffs for the first time since 2000, but unfortunately for the Lynx the Cleveland Internationals
scored a late winner to take the game 2-1, sending the Lynx home early.
