, Vedsegaard trained at the Skuespillerskolen at Aarhus Teater between 1996 and 2000. He is best known for his role as Jens Peter Raben in the Danish TV crime thriller Forbrydelsen, which is his biggest role to date.

Vedsegaard has also had roles in a number of other Danish dramas and films.
