In 2009, Mogi was charged with violation of at tax laws by National Tax Agency
, and was about to be arrested and sentence to being in prison. Mogi evaded paying tax 400 million yen (5.2 million US $) for three years. Threrfore Mogi was fired from all the TV programs at NHK
