The lands in and surrounding areas are red in colour, rich in minerals and able to with hold humitity, suitable for cultivations of Plantains(Banana), Mara valli kizhangu, Coconut, Murungakikai, Green Chilly, Ground Nut, Brinjal, Country fire wood (நாட்டு உடை மரம்) and like so. Paddy cultivation is also done in natural wet land with canal irrigation and as well as modern concrete artificial wet lands feed through well water supply.
