Founded in 1979, Katun Corp is the world’s largest supplier of OEM compatible imaging supplies, photoreceptors and parts for the office equipment industry. They serve more than 18,000 customers in more than 150 countries. Katun headquarters is located in Bloomington, Minnesota
. Michael Clarke cofounded the company in 1979 and served as a director and officer until he was removed from office for financial improperties in June 2000. Clarke remained Katun's largest shareholder until PNA Holdings LLC acquired the company in 2002.
July 8th 2002, PNA acquired Katun Company by means of a merger with a wholly owned subsidiary of PNA, leaving Katun as the surviving subsidiary. PNA is owned by a group of investors led by Bank of America Capital Investors (BACI), Chicago, Svoboda, Collins (SC), L.L.C., Chicago, and management.

reported that Katun Corp. agreed to plead guilty in federal court to 12 counts of fraud and pay $11 million in fines and restitution for illegally obtaining pricing information from competitors' Web sites, keeping money owed to customers and engaging in deceptive practices to secure lower airline fares.

June 17th, 2008, API Outsourcing Inc, a leading finance and accounting outsourcing (FAO) provider of state-of-the-art document management, accounts-payable processing solutions and billing, today announced that Minnesota-based Katun Corporation has signed a multiyear service agreement to utilize API's document management solution.
