Athletics

Katella's athletic teams compete in the Empire League of the California Interscholastic Federation

's Southern Section. Katella has two CIF championships in soccer, and one in baseball. Katella has recently won championships in Girl's Soccer and Waterpolo.

In the 2007-2008 school year, Katella had numerous teams advancing to the CIF SS playoffs including cross country, waterpolo, baseball, basketball, and many individual track athletes as well.

The boys varsity soccer team won CIF consecutively in 06-07

Starting the 2008-2009 athletics seasons, Katella's Women Volleyball Team advanced to the 2nd Round of the CIF Southern Section Playoffs. Katella's Men's Water Polo Team had great success as they beat Valencia 7-1 in the Division VII CIF SS Final Game, making themselves CIF Champs. They repeated this CIF championship feat the next year by beating Valencia once again in the Division VII CIF SS Final Game.
