The 2002 national census estimated the population of Kasese at 53,907. In 2008, the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS), estimated the population of the town at 66,600. In 2011, UBOS estimated the population of Kasese at 74,300. Kasese town is one of the fastest growing municipalities in Uganda
