Kallithea is a community in the suburbs of Patras

. It is located 8 km S of downtown Patras, 69 km NW of Kalavryta
, 136 km NW of Tripoli

. It is the southwesternmost city in the Patras
metro area. The village was used to be known as Kallitheokampos (Καλλιθεόκαμπος), it was later changed to Kallithea.

Though many buildings did not stand, an earthquake struck in 1960 and damaged many houses and buildings, many residents moved to Kato Kallithea. Today, Ano and Kato Kallithea have been rebuilt since that time.
A small fire happened on July 16, 2007 burning grass and a couple of forests. It lasted several hours and no harm was done to its properties and residents.
