Population

The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS)estimated the population of the town at 12,300 in 2008. In 2010, UBOS estimates the population to have risen to about 13,300 people.

Administration

Kaliro is led by an elected mayor and elected town council. The current mayor is Sam Gamutambuli.
