. The Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings will begin their inaugural season in 2011. The K-Wings play their home games at Wings West Arena (formerly known as S2 Ice Arena) which seats 1,500. On November 4, 2010 the NAHL approved of the K-Wings affiliation with the ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings.

History

The Western Michigan Wolves was this franchise's first team. The Wolves were in operation for only the 1988-89 season and it also played in the NAHL. The Western Michigan Wolves played a 40-game season and went 12-22-6 (12 wins, 22 losses, 6 ties) and finished with 30 points..

The second team in the franchise was the Kalamazoo Jr. Wings. The team was in existence from 1989-1994. In the 1990-91 and 1992-93 season the Wings won the Robertson Cup.

The longest consecutive streak of active teams in its history was the Danville Wings that folded in 2003 after starting in the 1994-95 season. The Wings never won the Robertson Cup in the 1999-00 season despite managing an impressive 37-15-0-4 (37 wins, 15 losses, 0 ties, 4 OTL) record.
