The Kainth community follows the preaching of Baba Namdev, whose origin was from a business family in Maharashtra. Kainth community is a part of the Nagavanshi clan , which is further classified into the sub-castes of suryavansh, Taank and Aryans (Indo-Europeans). Most of the Hindu Kainths were originally involved in the business of clothes and stitching and this tradition continues amongst modern Hindu Kainths, who are mostly based in rural areas.
