Early life and political career

. He earned a degree in Msc. Chemistry, and ventured into politics while pursuing his profession as Lecturer for the subject of Chemistry. After joining politics in TDP, he lost the general elections in the first attempt.

He worked as the KUDA (Kakatiya Urban Development Association) Chairman for sometime. In the next general elections, he won as MLA from Ghanpur(Station). He became Minister for Marketing,Social Welfare later Education and later Irrigation in the Cabinet of Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

In 2004, Kadiyam Srihari lost the general elections from Ghanpur(Station) to Dr. Vijaya Rama Rao from TRS (Telangana Rastra Samithi). He was later elected as MLA from Ghanpur(Station) in the 2008 bye-elections which occurred due to resignations from the TRS Legislative members.

Ministership

Mr. Kadiyam Srihari Garu was the Minister in the cabinet of Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu's reign. He held various porfolios including Marketing, Social Welfare, Education, and Irrigation.
